How will I be matched to a Carer?

Matching the right Carer to an person who needs Respite Care is an important part of the Scheme.  It is important to take account of a person's particular needs and wishes.

When the Co-ordinator receives a request from a person needing care, they will take a number of factors into account to see if they have a suitable placement, for example:-

  • smoking/non-smoking
  • sleeping patterns
  • any pets
  • stairs and disabled access

Placements only happen when good matches are found, and all parties are happy to proceed.
