Barnardos Springboard
Barnardos Springboard is a Highland Througcare and Aftercare service, provided for young people from 15 to 21, who either are or have been looked after and accommodated by Highland Council.
Springboard will offer the following to young people:
-
Help to plan for the future
-
Help to prepare for leaving care
-
Practical and emotional support when moving on
-
Work with individuals or in groups
-
Assistance to make contact with other services
A project worker from Springboard will discuss with you your ideas and wishes regarding your future.
We will help you to think about the skills that you have and the sort of supports you might need to help you succeed.
You may wish to discuss this further with your social worker or carer. If you agree, a referral can be made to Springboard.
If you do not have a social worker you may want to contact the service yourself. You could if you wish, ask a family member or someone you know to help you with this.
