Application by Gamestec Leisure Ltd for Gaming Permit for THREE machines at the Fluke, Culcabock Road, Inverness.

After consideration, the Board GRANTED the application for two machines and REFUSED the application for a third.

Ms Grewar spoke for the applicant.  He confirmed that a new gate, external CCTV and timed lighting had now been installed on the premises. 

It was generally felt, by both the applicant and the LSO that the problems experienced resulted more from the geographical location of the shop rather that from the running of the premises itself.

NOTING the LSO’s confirmation that he would write to the complainants to inform them of measures being taken to resolve their issues, the Board APPROVED the application.

After discussion and noting that the setting of the premises was largely rural, the Board APPROVED the application; waiving the Local Condition which terminated the sale and consumption of alcohol within the premises outdoor drinking area from 9 pm but pending submission of a report by Building Standards, which would be deferred to a future meeting of the Board.

The Clerk spoke to Report INBS 31/09. He confirmed that the applicant- although not present – had previously agreed to accept the conditions contained within the report and as applied to his application. The Clerk gave assurance  to the Board that the new conditions, as applied to this licence, would be kept under careful review by both the Licensing Board and other relevant agencies.

 

After consideration the Board APPROVED the application together with the additional Conditions contained within the report, pending submission of a report by Building Standards which would be deferred to a future meeting of the Board.
