Minutes of the Adjourned Meeting of the Highland Licensing Board

1.  Apologies for Absence

 

Apologies for absence were intimated on behalf of Mrs Katrina MacNab. 

 

2.  Application for Renewal of Licence

 

An application for renewal of licence, which had been deferred from the Board meeting on 12th June, was submitted in respect of the following:-

 

Applicant - Mrs Anne Strachan, Drumbeg House, Drumbeg.

Premises – Drumbeg House, Drumbeg

Type of Licence - Provisional Restricted Hotel

 

The applicant advised that there were only minor works to be completed.  The Board agreed to grant the application.

 

3.  Applications for Grant of New Licences

 

Applications for the grant of new licences, which were deferred from the meeting on 12th June, were submitted in respect of the following:-

 

Applicant - Mrs Susan M Robertson, The Oystercatcher, Main Street, Portmahomack.

Premises - The Oystercatcher, Main Street, Portmahomack.

Type of Licence - Grant of a Hotel Licence

 

Applicant - Whaligoe Enterprises Ltd and Ms Karen P Davies, The Square, Whaligoe, Ulbster.     

Premises - The Square, Whaligoe, Ulbster.

Type of Licence - Grant of a Refreshment Licence

 

Applicant - Thomas Reardon, 94 Land Street, Keith, Banffshire.          

Premises - The Pier Shop, Invergordon.

Type of Licence - Grant of an Off-Sales Licence

 

In respect of the application for the Square, Whaligoe, the Clerk explained that she had received a letter from the applicant on the morning of the meeting intimating that all of the certificates were not yet available.  The Board agreed to grant a provisional licence in terms of Section 26(2) of the Act requiring affirmation prior to the lodging of an application for declaration of finality.   The applications in relation to the Oystercatcher and the Pier Shop were granted.
