There is circulated for approval Minutes of Meetings of the Licensing Committee held on 2nd October.
3. Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 – Hearing – Application for Taxi Driver’s Licence
The Committee is invited to consider an application for a Taxi Driver’s Licence lodged by Mr. Robert Black (from Cromarty Firth Ward) in light of a letter of observation received from Northern Constabulary.
The relevant papers will be circulated to the Committee on the day of the meeting. A copy of the Council’s Hearings Procedure is appended hereto. The Area Solicitor advises that as the Committee is acting in a quasi-judicial capacity when determining the application, it is inappropriate to make any recommendation.
4. Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 – Hearing – Application for Taxi Driver’s Licence
The Committee is invited to consider an application for a Taxi Driver’s Licence lodged by Mr. Leslie MacDonald (from Cromarty Firth Ward) in light of a letter of objection received from Northern Constabulary.
The relevant papers will be circulated to the Committee on the day of the meeting. The Area Solicitor advises that as the Committee is acting in a quasi-judicial capacity when determining the application, it is inappropriate to make any recommendation.
5. Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 – Hearing – Application for Street Trader’s Licence
The Committee is invited to consider an application for a Street Trader’s Licence lodged by Mrs. Margaret Sutherland (from East Sutherland and Edderton Ward) in light of comments made by the Council’s Area Environmental Health Manager.
The relevant papers will be circulated to the Committee on the day of the meeting. The Area Solicitor advises that as the Committee is acting in a quasi-judicial capacity when determining the application, it is inappropriate to make any recommendation.
