3. Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 – Suspension Hearing – Taxi Driver’s Licence

 

The Committee is invited to consider whether Mr. Ian Mackay (from Landward Caithness Ward), a current licensed taxi driver, continues to be a fit and proper person to hold such a licence.


 
The relevant papers will be circulated to the Committee on the day of the meeting.  A copy of the Council’s Hearings Procedure is appended hereto.  The Area Solicitor advises that as the Committee is acting in a quasi-judicial capacity when determining this matter, it is inappropriate to make any recommendation.

 

4. Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 – Hearing – Application for Licence for House in Multiple Occupation

 

The Committee is invited to consider an application for a House in Multiple Occupation Licence lodged by Mrs. V. Sadler in respect of The Glen, Church Street, Dornoch (East Sutherland and Edderton Ward), in light of comments made by the consultees.

 

The relevant papers will be circulated to the Committee on the day of the meeting.  A copy of the Council’s Hearings Procedure is appended hereto.  The Area Solicitor advises that as the Committee is acting in a quasi-judicial capacity when determining this matter, it is inappropriate to make any recommendation.
