Planning Review Body
Background:
The Scottish Government’s modernisation agenda introduced the requirement that each planning authority establish a Review Body. The function of the Review Body is to determine requests by applicants to review local applications that have been:
1. Refused by officers of the planning authority
2. Not determined within 2 months of the date of submission
3. Approved by officers subject to conditions
Submission of Notices of Review
If you wish to lodge a Notice of Review for determination by the Review Body you must:
1. fill in the Notice of Review Application Form (Word format) | (PDF format).
The Scottish Government has produced Guidance Notes to assist in the
completion of the Notice of Review form.
2. lodge all the documentation that you wish to rely upon (and that you wish
the Review Body to consider when determining your Notice of Review)
with the completed Notice of Review form. For example this should
include: planning application form, all plans lodged with planning application,
any supporting information (transport assessment etc) lodged with
application form, decision notice, extracts from structure and local plans
relevant to the application, extracts from national policy. The following
Advice for Applicants may be of assistance to you.
The completed Notice of Review form and supporting documentation must then be sent to:
Review Body Administration Team, Chief Executive’s Service, Council Buildings, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness, IV3 5NX (NOT the Local Planning Office).
