1.           Apologies for Absence

Apologies for absence were intimated on behalf of Mr John Laing, Mr Brendan Gormley and Mrs Jean Urquhart.

2.           Confirmation of Minutes

There had been circulated for confirmation the Minutes of the Meeting of the Ross, Skye and Lochaber Licensing Committee held on 18 March 2008.

The Minutes were held as read and approved.

3.           Applications for House in Multiple Occupation Licences – Oxford Hotels and Inns Management Limited

There had been circulated Report No.  LCR-05-08 (19kb)  by the Area Solicitor advising of the receipt of two applications for Houses in Multiple Occupation Licences submitted by Oxford Hotels and Inns Management Limited for Staff Accommodation at the King’s Arms Hotel, Kyleakin, and the Kyle Hotel, Kyle of Lochalsh.  The Report recommended that the Committee agree to defer determination of the application, either (a) to allow it to be approved under delegated powers in the event that the requirements identified and the Council’s standards were met or (b) if not able to be approved under delegated powers to a future meeting of the Committee when the application would be determined in terms of the Hearings Procedure.

The Committee agreed the recommendation.
