3. Notification of Conviction – Ref LG/9(a)(t)150
3.1 There is circulated Report No. LCR-008-08.pdf (16kb) by the Area Solicitor relating to a Taxi Operator/Taxi Driver who has received a motoring conviction. Members are invited to consider whether or not the licence-holder continues to be a fit and proper person to hold a Taxi Operator’s Licence and upon determining the application, whether any action should be taken against the licence-holder in the form of a warning or suspension of licence. If the Committee are minded to suspend the licence then consideration of the application must be adjourned in order for a Hearing to be convened.
4. Application for Grant of a Taxi Driver’s Licence – Ref TD/2008/04/04
There is circulated Report No. LCR-009-08.pdf (18kb) by the Area Solicitor outlining an application for a Taxi Driver’s Licence under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982. The Report recommends the Committee determine the application in accordance with the Hearings Procedure
5. Application for Renewal of a Taxi Driver’s Licence – Ref LG/9(a)(t)129 Souness
There is circulated Report No LCR-010-08.pdf (16kb) by the Area Solicitor inviting the Committee to consider an application for the renewal of a Taxi Driver’s Licence. The Report recommends, in view of the endorsements contained on the applicant’s driving licence that, the Committee consider whether the licence-holder continues to be a fit and proper person to hold a Taxi Driver’s Licence. If the Committee are minded to refuse to renew the licence then consideration of the application must be adjourned in order for a Hearing to be convened.
6. Application for Grant of a Licence for a House in Multiple Occupation – 55 Camanachd Crescent, Fort William
There is circulated Report No LCR-011-08.pdf (18kb) by the Area Solicitor advising of an application for the grant of a Licence for a House in Multiple Occupation. The Report recommends that the Committee agree that the application allow it be approved under delegated powers in the event that all necessary requirements are met; or refer it to a future meeting of the Committee when the application will be determined in terms of the Hearings procedure.
7. Renewal of Public Entertainment Licence – Ardgour Memorial Hall, Ardgour
There is circulated Report No. LCR-012-08.pdf (16kb) by the Area Solicitor relating to a Public Entertainment Licence for Ardgour Memorial Hall, Ardgour, Fort William. The Report recommends that the Committee agree that the application be approved under delegated powers in the event that all necessary requirements are met; or refer it to a future meeting of the Committee when the application will be determined in terms of the Hearings procedure.
8. Application for Variation to Civil Marriage Approval – Inverlochy Castle Hotel, Torlundy, Fort William
There is circulated Report No. LCR-013-08.pdf (23kb) by the Area Solicitor inviting the Committee to consider an application for a variation to the Civil Marriage Approval in respect of Inverlochy Castle Hotel, Fort William. The Report recommends the Committee determine whether to vary the conditions attached to the Civil Marriage Approval for Inverlochy Castle as outlined in the Report.
9. Application for a Market Operator’s Licence – Scorpion (UK) Limited
There is circulated Report No. LCR-014-08.pdf (24kb) by the Area Solicitor inviting the Committee to consider an application for renewal of a Market Operator’s Licence which has been received from Scorpion (UK) Limited, 298-300 Maxwell Road, Glasgow. The Report recommends the Committee determine this application in accordance with the Hearings Procedure.
