4. Capital Expenditure – Monitoring 2012/13

The Committee is invited to approve:-
i. that the Muchrachd replacement bridge is brought forward to the current
year due to the deteriorating condition of the bridge and the serious impact
that the 3 tonne weight restriction is having on the local community; and
ii. the capital expenditure monitoring position for the period 1 April 2012 to 30
September 2012.
5. Review of Evening Bus Services

There is circulated Report No TEC-64-12 (39kb pdf) dated 6 November 2012 by the Director of Transport, Environmental and Community Services updating Members on the outcome of the Review of Highland Bus Services which are provided through Council contracts and inviting Members to approve the continuation of all existing service contracts.
The Committee is invited to:-
i. note the outcome of the Review of Evening Bus Services;
ii. approve the continuation of all existing evening bus service contracts; and
iii. agree to delegate powers to the Director of Transport, Environmental and
Community Services, in consultation with the Chair and Vice Chair of
Transport, Environmental and Community Services and local Ward Members,
to implement modest savings through minor adjustments to individual routes
following discussions with the bus operators.
6. Service Plan 2012-2017

10. Food Safety Update

The Committee is invited to:-
i. note the on-going reviews on the delivery of Food Safety;
ii. approve the amendment to the Food Safety Service Plan to provide
flexibility on implementing the Food Standards Agency cross-contamination
guidance; and
iii. approve that the export certification charges are reviewed in consultation
with the industry.
