Valuation Of Properties

The Assessor and Electoral Registration Officer is required to identify all domestic properties and allocate them to one of eight Valuation Bands (A to H). The band, in which a dwelling is placed, determines the Council Tax to be paid on that property. The greater the value of the property the more tax that must be paid. Details of the Valuation Banding can be accessed using the link opposite.

The Council Tax Valuation List is a public document and is available for inspection by the Public at the Assessors and at the main Highland Council offices.
