The Programme of The Highland Council 2009-2012

The Administration of The Highland Council has produced  a programme of action, which set out its priorities between 2009-12 for making the Highlands one of Europe's leading regions. The Administration aims to create sustainable communities with more balanced population growth and economic development across the Highlands and to build a fairer and healthier Highlands.  The Programme contains commitments across five main themes and further actions to work with the Scottish and UK Governments. The priorities are reviewed annually those for the current year 2011-12 are detailed under each of the five themes below
