The Highland Council will soon start its re-tendering project for foodstuffs in the following categories:
- Fresh meat including poultry, game and meat products
- Fresh fish
- Fresh milk
- Fresh bakery
- Fresh fruit and vegetables
- Free range eggs
- Cooked meats
To encourage local businesses to take part in this process, The Council is holding a series of “meet the buyer” events over the next few weeks at the following dates and venues:
14.11.11 Wick Assembly Rooms - 5.30pm to 7.30pm
15.11.11 Millburn Academy - 6.00pm to 8.00pm
05.12.11 Portree High School - 5.30pm to 7.30pm
08.12.11 Dingwall Highland Council Chamber - 6.00pm to 8.00pm
12.12.11 Fort William Highland Council Chamber - 5.30pm to 7.30pm
There will be a brief presentation on the Council’s approach to this contract and an opportunity to ask Council staff about the process.
