Q: How do I inform you of a change of Home Address?
A: Send us a letter including your Full Name and Payroll Number or send an email to payroll@highland.gov.uk. You should also notify your Service Administrator and Area Personnel Office.

Q: I need to change the Bank details my salary gets paid into?
A: Use the Bank Mandate form and return by Post/ Internal mail to address shown.

Q: What is my PAYE (Pay as you Earn) reference number?
A: Check your most recent payslip as it is included on it or see this list of Pay as you Earn reference numbers

Q: How do I change my Tax Coding?
A: Contact the Inland Revenue on 0845 300 0627 quoting your national Insurance number (Shown on pay advice) – calls charged at local rate.

Q: How much pay can I expect to receive on my next Pay date?
A: We are unable to provide you with amounts prior to a Pay date, payslips are issued prior to the date you are due to be paid.

Q:  What are the current mileage and subsistence rates?
A:  These can be found in the Code of Conduct for travel and subsistence

Q:  Where can I find information on Car Leasing and Car Loans?
A:   Information can be found in the Car Lease Information; Car Loan Information and Car Loan Interest Rates documents on the main payroll page

Q: When is the deadline for Travel and subsistence claims?
A: All claims must be with payroll by 8th of the month (for Payroll 32 and 38). If the 8th falls at a weekend, then the final day is the Friday before that. Where possible, mail should be submitted prior to the latest dates.

Q: When should other Payroll Forms be with Payroll?
A: Payroll 32 - all forms by the 12th of the month. Again if this falls at a weekend, then the deadline is the Friday before that.
Payroll 38 - 2 weeks prior to the pay date. For example pay date on 27 May 2010, final day for mail is 13 May 2010.

Q: What are the dates for payroll for Christmas and Easter?
A: These payroll dates will be earlier than normal and will be posted on the website shortly before these events.
