Council gives go-ahead to Inshes Primary School extension (08/11/07)
Members of The Highland Council’s Education, Culture and Sport Committee today (Thursday) agreed to the construction of a two classroom extension at Inshes Primary School, Inverness.
The need for an extension was identified after a larger than anticipated school intake occurred in August, when the school opened. As part of the original school design a contingency for an extension had been included in the overall plans as it was originally understood that this would be required in future years.
Planning permission for the development has been approved and the new classrooms are expected to be completed in July 2008.
The estimated cost is £569,000.
