Temporary traffic restrictions during work connected to proposed Whiteness Development (24/12/08)

The Highland Council is advising motorists that from Monday 5th January, 2009 there will be temporary traffic restrictions introduced during the installation of a new sewer linking the proposed Whiteness Development with the existing sewerage treatment works at Ardersier.

The restrictions on traffic will include:

  • Kebbuck stone – Carse Wood – Baddock Road closed at its junction with the private access road to ‘Norleigh Boarding Kennel’ to its junction with the C1005 Muir of Balnagowan – Fort George Road, from Monday 5th January, to Friday 6th February 2009, or until the works are complete (whichever comes first); and
  • the C1005 Muir of Balnagowan – Fort George Road closed at its junction with the Kebbuck Stone – Carse Wood – Baddock Road to its junction with the access to Kirkton of Ardersier Cemetery, from Monday 9th February to Friday 27th March 2009, or until the works are complete (whichever comes first).

Access for emergency services vehicles, Ministry of Defence vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, on these sections of roads will be controlled by the contractor ROK Civil Engineering.
