Customer Service Award success (10/10/11)
Jane Ross from Alness who works part time for The Highland Council as a Customer Services Assistant has successfully completed two customer service qualifications in record time and with outstanding results.
Based at the Service Centre in Alness, Jane, who studied in her own time, was supported and coached through the award level by the council’s Employee Development team with support from her line management.
From May to August 2010 Jane studied for the Customer Services Professional Qualification award. She then decide to get private funding from ILA Scotland to progress on to achieve Certificate level, studying for over 200 hours in 18 months
Congratulating Jane on her success, Chairman of The Highland Council’s Resources Committee, Councillor Carolyn Wilson said: “Jane has shown great determination and commitment and has devoted a lot of her own time to study for these qualifications. To achieve such impressive scores is a real credit to her. As a Council we are committed to the providing our customers with excellent customer service and I would like to thank Jane for her professional attitude and all the effort and hard work she has put in.”
In August the Cabinet Office Council awarded the Council the Customer Service Excellence standard in recognition the service it provides via face to face contact with the public at its network of 35 Service Points, via telephone its Service Centre in Alness and via the Registration Service.
