Inverness South by-election date confirmed (16/09/11)

A by-election will be held in The Highland Council’s Ward 20 – Inverness South - on Thursday 3 November.

Nomination papers will be available from Monday 26 September from the home page of the Council’s web site: www.highland.gov.uk or by contacting the Council’s Election Manager, John Bruce on 01349 868524.

The deadline for nominations is 4 pm on Wednesday 12 October.

If the election is contested, polling will take place at 7 polling locations yet to be confirmed between 7 am – 10 pm on Thursday 3 November.  The count will take place at the Town House, Inverness, on Friday 4 November.

The three other councillors in the four-member Inverness South Ward  are Councillors Jim Crawford, Roy Pedersen and Thomas Prag.
