Sharing services at Invergordon (15/05/12)
A new partnership is being introduced in Invergordon on Monday 21 May when the public will be able to source advice and information on library and Council services from under the one roof.
The Highland Council is moving its Service Point and Registration Service from the Service Point in High Street Invergordon into the High Life Highland Library, located on the opposite side of the High Street.
It will be open Monday – Friday between 9.00 am – 12.30 pm and 1.30pm to 4.00pm.
To allow the Council to transfer its operation, the Service Point will be closed on Friday 18 May.
This is the third sharing agreement between High Life Highland and the Council Service Points following the introduction of sharing arrangements in Alness and Lochcarron.
Recently, the Council was awarded the Customer Service Excellence standard in recognition of the service it provides through face to face contact with the public at its network of 35 Service Points, by telephone at its Service Centre in Alness and by the Registration Service.
The Customer Service Excellence standard has replaced the Charter Mark standard, which the council has held since 1999. The new standard is more exacting than the Charter Mark standard and ensures an improved service for all customers contacting the network.
