Help is at hand for Nairn businesses to supply The Highland Council (24/09/12)

A free event aimed at helping Nairn area based businesses to supply The Highland Council will take place on Thursday 4 October in Nairn Community and Arts Centre.

Members of the Council’s Procurement team will be on hand to provide free information and advice to help businesses through the processes of tendering for Council contracts.

Businesses in the Nairn area which already supply, or wish to supply to the Council are encouraged to come along to talk individually to Procurement staff.

Participants will be able to find out about upcoming contract opportunities from £5,000 to £5,000,000, discuss how the tendering process works, and discuss any concerns they might have.

Topics businesses may wish to discuss might include:

  • Advertising of contracts;
  • Pre-qualification questionnaires;
  • Invitations to tender; and
  • Evaluation of tenders.

Staff from the Council’s Procurement team and Enterprise Europe will be basing themselves in Nairn Community and Arts Centre for the day on Thursday 4 October.

Businesses can book a 15 minute slot with a member of staff between 9am and 4.30pm by telephoning 01463 703887, or emailing procurement.unit2@highland.gov.uk

Alternatively they can just drop in when convenient – but be prepared for a short wait.
