The Independent/SNP Administration of The Highland Council has set out its Programme for the next four years. This covers 10 themes, which you can read via the links below. The Administration is committed to working for the increased prosperity and wellbeing of people living and working in the Highlands. They will aim to create a greener and sustainable Highland Council, which places equality and fairness at the centre of the way it conducts business.

As well as seeking to deliver services effectively, members are also elected to represent the needs of the Highlands to government at Holyrood, Westminster and Brussels with the aim of securing Government policy which increasingly reflects the distinct needs of the Highlands.
As part of this role the Council monitors political and parliamentary activities in Scotland, the UK and in Europe through the preparation of a weekly briefing which highlights the main developments taking place that week.
