Cromarty Firth Partnership LEADER Development Plan

Cromarty Firth Partnership Development Plan area has been
prepared and agreed by a local Development Partnership group following consultation with the community through Community Councils and through contact with a wide range of community groups and organisations in the Ward.

This final plan is now available for infomation via the link shown above or seen in paper form at the Alness and Invergordon Service Points and the Alness and Invergordon Libraries.

The catalyst for this development plan is LEADER funding. This will be an important source of funding for community groups over the next few years.  It gives a real opportunity to take forward key community projects and to make the area a better place for all our residents.  Highland LEADER is a programme of European funding covering the period 2007 – 2013. Community Development Support Scheme

The Cromarty Firth Ward has a Community Development Support Scheme.This scheme aims to ensure that Communities who have a local development proposal can access expert development advice and assistance where necessary to help them take local projects on from the planning to the funding and implementation stages.

This scheme is open to formally constituted voluntary groups whose membership is open to the whole community.  Assistance is discretionary and each application will be considered on its own merits.
