Community Benefit Workshops
Community Benefit Workshops (Poster) are planned very much with community representatives in mind such as Community Councils, Community Development Trusts and other community development organisations. Other relevant local groups are also welcome to attend.
Content will include: (draft agenda)
- discussion on the application of the allocation factors and their suitability
- consideration of the ways CB funding can assist communities - may also involve discussion on the management and application processes for funding
- Identification of projects that communities might be planning or would like to see taken forward with the support of the CB funding
Outcomes from the workshop sessions will be reported back to the Highland Council
The Future of Dingwall Town Hall Complex
We would like your thoughts on what might – and might not - be the future use for the Dingwall Town Hall Complex. Ownership of the building is in the Dingwall Common Good and leased to the Highland Council. There is a duty to consider the future in the light of running costs and the level of usage. A team comprising Compass:TMRP and LDN Architects has been commissioned by the Council to assess viable options for the future operation and possibly, ownership of the complex.
Dingwall and Seaforth Community Development Plan
LEADER will be an important source of funding for community groups in the Dingwall and Seaforth Ward over the next few years. It gives a real opportunity to take forward key community projects and to make the Ward area a better place for all our residents. It is important that the development plan is a true reflection of community aspirations across the Ward. The PLAN has now been approved and can be viewed in current documents.
Dingwall and Seaforth Community Development Support Scheme
The Dingwall and Seaforth Ward has a Community Project Development Scheme.
This scheme aims to ensure that Communities who have a local development proposal can access expert development advice and assistance where necessary to help them take local projects on from the planning to the funding and implementation stages.
This scheme is open to formally constituted voluntary groups whose membership is open to the whole community. Assistance is discretionary and each application will be considered on its own merits.
