Community Benefit Workshops
Community Benefit Workshops (Poster) are planned very much with community representatives in mind such as Community Councils, Community Development Trusts and other community development organisations. Other relevant local groups are also welcome to attend.
Content will include: (draft agenda)
- discussion on the application of the allocation factors and their suitability
- consideration of the ways CB funding can assist communities - may also involve discussion on the management and application processes for funding
- Identification of projects that communities might be planning or would like to see taken forward with the support of the CB funding
Outcomes from the workshop sessions will be reported back to the Highland Council
Culbokie Community Survey
The newly formed Culbokie Development Group, supported by Highland Council and Ferintosh Community Council, is undertaking a consultation of Culbokie residents to find out what they think about their village and what changes they’d like to see to make it even better. Have your say! Download a questionnaire from here. Returns must be made by Christmas and results will be exhibited at Findon Hall in Feb 2012 (date to be announced). Completed questionnaires should be dropped off at the Culbokie shop or Culbokie Primary School before Christmas or at the Ferntosh Community Market on Saturday 17th December. Alternatively you can scan your reply and return by e-mail to Penny Edwards at penny@pennyandmartin.co.uk
Black Isle Ward Development Plan
A Development Plan for the Black Isle Ward 10 of The Highland Council has been prepared by an interim planning group consisting of the four Elected Councillors and the Ward Manager following widespread consultation with the community through two Ward Forums, Community Councils and through contact with a wide range of community groups and organisations.
The catalyst for the preparation of this Development Plan for the Black Isle Ward has been the upcoming new Highland LEADER programme of European funding covering the period 2007 – 2013. Further information about this can be found at www.highlandleader.com. Copies of the Development Plan and Appendices can be downloaded from the ‘Current Documents’ menu bar on the right. /read more...
Community Project Development Scheme
The Black Isle Ward has a Community Project Development Scheme.
This scheme aims to ensure that Communities who have a local development proposal can access expert development advice and assistance where necessary to help them take local projects on from the planning to the funding and implementation stages.
This scheme is open to formally constituted voluntary groups whose membership is open to the whole community. Assistance is discretionary and each application will be considered on its own merits.
