Cans, Car batteries, Cardboard, Engine oil, Fridges & Freezers, *Furniture, Garden waste, Gas cylinders, Glass bottles & jars, Monitors & TVs, Paper, **Plastic bottles, Rubble & Soil, Scrap metal, Shoes, Tetrapaks, Textiles, ***Tyres, White goods, Wood
*Furniture and household goods (including bric-a-brac) can be donated to Inverness Newstart for reuse by using the separate containers provided at the Recycling Centre. The Highland Council and Inverness Newstart are working in partnership to ensure that items suitable for reuse are diverted from landfill. **Only bottles identified with a small triangle containing the number 1 or 2 will be accepted. Type 1 bottles (PET) are mainly used for fizzy drinks and Type 2 (HDPE) are used for milk and detergents.
