Miscellaneous Licences
Environmental Health carries out the administration and enforcement functions for a wide range of licences, which come under the category of ‘Miscellaneous Licences’.

Civic Government Licences
Environmental Health is responsible for enforcement of a number of licences issued under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982.

Liquor Licensing
Your local Licensing Board, administered by the Highland Council Corporate Services, deals with all applications for alcohol licences. For any general information on liquor licensing please contact your area Corporate Services Office.
Environmental Health is involved in issuing food hygiene certificates required for certain types of alcohol licensing. If you require a food hygiene certificate or wish advice on how to obtain one, please contact your area Environmental Health Office.
