Crown Estate Review Working Group

The Crown Estate Review Working Group (CERWG) consists of the six local authorities covering the Highlands and Islands, Highlands & Islands Enterprise (HIE) and the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA).

These organisations have submitted the CERWG’s report to the Secretary of State for Scotland and Scotland’s First Minister with the recommendation that:

“The Secretary of State for Scotland and Scottish Ministers should, given the changed circumstances of devolution, implement an appropriately constituted review to ensure that the property, rights and interests which make up the Crown Estate in Scotland contribute more fully to the delivery of Scottish Executive policies and the well-being of the people of Scotland”.

The report, which was published on the 21st February 2007, can be downloaded from the link below.  While the report can be printed out and copied in whole or in part, please respect the copyright of the report by acknowledging it as the source.
