The Drumnadrochit Stakeholder Workshops were held on 8th June and 11th September 2006. They brought together community and agency “interests” to examine options, consider shared objectives and work collaboratively and led to the generation of the following:
The Drumnadrochit Futures newspaper was posted to every local address. A draft Allanmore-Pitkerrald Development Brief was also made available separately at public venues in the village. Views on each were welcomed by 15th August 2008, the Council would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond. Findings from the consultation will be reported to the Planning, Environment and Development Committee later in the year.
Strategic Environmental Assessment
The Council also carried out a Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening exercise on both Drumnadrochit Futures and the Allanmore-Pitkerrald Development Brief. It has been determined that the Drumnadrochit Futures document does require a Strategic Environmental Assessment. The Allanmore-Pitkerrald Development Brief does not require a Strategic Environmental Assessment.
