The new Local Plan for the whole of Sutherland has replaced the following four plans where the new Local Plan covers the same area.  The four plans are therefore largely superseded. The Written Statements for each plan are available below (all are pdf files and require Acrobat Reader version 5.0 or later. Because some of the files are large, it may be better to download the files to your hard-disk first by right-clicking on the link and selecting Save Target As).

• Golspie & Lairg Local Plan - July 1983 (2,065kb) - (Largely Superseded)
• North West Sutherland Local Plan - May 1987 (5,419kb) - (Largely Superseded)
• South & East Sutherland Local Plan - May 2000 (5,707kb) - (Largely Superseded)
• Tongue & Farr Local Plan - October 1995 (6,706kb) - (Largely Superseded)
