Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)

Strategic Environmental Assessment for the Sutherland Local Plan is being undertaken in accordance with the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes (Scotland) Regulations 2004.

The following items are available here:

• Sutherland SEA Scoping Report (361kb) produced April 2006 
• Scoping Report Appendices (8,002kb)
• Draft Environmental Report October 2007 (1.34MB) the deadline for submission of comments was 1 February 2008.
• Augmented Environmental Report comprising the Draft Environmental Report October 2007 (see above) and a new Supplement May 2008, available below - the deadline for submission of comments was 27 June 2008.

Comments received on the Draft Environmental Report October 2007 which were not addressed  by the Supplement are being carried forward and considered carefully together with any received on the Supplement.

The next step after that will be the preparation and publication of a Revised Environmental Report (to accompany a new Deposit Draft of the Local Plan).
