Welcome to the Sutherland Local Plan web pages. The Plan is a statutory document prepared by The Highland Council which guides decisions on planning applications in the Sutherland Area.
The Highland Council is preparing a single new Local Plan to cover the whole of Sutherland and replace the existing Local Plans.
The most recent stage is that the Council published the Pre-Deposit version of the Local Plan for consultation. The deadline for comments was 27 June 2008. A report on issues raised through consultation will be prepared for consideration by Committee in late summer 2008.
