The Council published a Deposit Draft version of the new Sutherland Local Plan for consultation commencing 9 November 2007.
The deadline for representations was 5pm on Friday 1 February 2008. More information about that consultation was given in the formal Public Notice (25kb) that was published and in the Advice Notes (52kb).
However, since then the Council has published the Pre-Deposit 2008 version of the Local Plan for consultation. Representations received on the Deposit Draft 2007 will be carried forward and considered carefully together with any received on the Pre-Deposit 2008.
The Deposit Draft Local Plan 2007 comprised a Written Statement (3.77MB) together with Mapping and relevant text which may be viewed by clicking the links below.
There was also a Statement of Publicity and Consultation Leading to the Deposit Draft Local Plan 2007 (1.96MB).
The Draft Environmental Report October 2007 (1.34MB) was also published and comments invited, with the same deadline.

As part of consultation on the Deposit draft 2007 version of the new Local Plan for Sutherland, the Council’s Local Planners held a series of events providing people with the opportunity to view the draft plan for future development, ask questions about it and find out how to make comments.
