The Highland Council has appointed Kit Campbell Associates to produce Supplementary Planning Guidance on Greenspace, Sport and Recreation Provision. The document will be used to provide guidance on both the design and provision of greenspace, sport and recreation facilities throughout the Highlands. The document is currently being drafted and, subject to committee approval, will be going out for public consultation in late 2008.
As with all Plans, Policies and Strategies the Council produces the supplementary guidance will be subject to a Strategic Environmental Assessment to assess the level of significance of any environmental impacts. A screening report has been produced and following feedback from consultation authorities, it has been determined that a full Strategic Environmental assessment will need to be carried out. This determination is included in the ‘Determination Notice’. Following this determination, the scoping report has been produced and this has been sent to the appropriate consultation authorities for comment.
