The current timetable for the project is outlined below:

• Appointment of Scott Wilson -  May 2006
• Scottish Transport Appraisal Guidance Assessment Part 1 -  December 2006
• Approval of scheme proposals by Highland Council -  September 2007
• Application to Strategic Transport Projects Review -  October 2007
• Topographical survey -  July 2007
• Soils Investigation -  May – July 2008
• Traffic modelling -  2007/2008
• Final layout approval from Highland Council -  To be advised
• Strategic Transport Projects Review recommendation to Scottish Ministers -  August 2008
• Publication of Draft Road Orders -  To be advised
• Publication of Draft Compulsory Purchase Order -  To be advised  

Subject to satisfactory outcome of Strategic Transport Projects Review process the Construction Sequence commencing in 2012 could be:-

Relocate Torvean Golf Course     
Construction of East Link   
Construction of  West Link    
Construction of Southern Distributor Dualling   

Further progress will depend on the public reaction to the published proposals and further consultation.  A Public Local Inquiry may be required.
