Public Transport

The Highland Council's Public Transport Section is responsible for:

Designing and awarding contracts for socially necessary bus services
Development of unconventional services such as dial-a-buses and Dial-a-Bus
Bus passes - Concessionary fares for elderly or disabled people
Promoting co-ordination between transport services where possible
Bus shelters and bus stop infrastructure
Co-ordinated timetable information
Applications for School Transport and School Transport Reviews (contact public.transport@highland.gov.uk)

Reporting Damage to a Bus Stop / Shelter

If you have noticed that a bus stop or bus shelter has been damaged, use our Report a Road Maintenance fault online form or email public.transport@highland.gov.uk / call our service centre on 01349 886606. Please take note of the precise location of the incident and mention this in your correspondence so prompt action can be taken.
