Action 4 Sustainability

Elgol Primary School on Skye has become the first school in the Highlands to win the coveted Green Flag environmental award three times.  This is in recognition of the on-going efforts made by parents and pupils over several years to raise awareness of important ecological issues.

Congratulations also to Rogart Primary, Farr Primary (Inverness) and Broadford Primary in being awarded their first Eco Schools Green Flag award.  The schools covered topic areas such as biodiversity, school ground development, recycling, litter management and energy efficiency. They join Dochgarroch Primary and Mulbuie Primary in being the first six schools in Highland to have received this prestigious. Over 75 schools in Highland are registered in the awards’ programme.
