Refuse Collection

The collection, and ultimate disposal of domestic and commercial waste, is one of the fundamental local government services, essential to maintaining a clean and disease free society. The Highland Council provides a weekly domestic collection service, a variable commercial waste collection service to suit the needs of business, and a bulky collection service on request.

The weekly domestic collection service is provided throughout the Highlands from a variety of local depots for 52 weeks of the year. Wheeled containers are used to facilitate the collection process.
