Major Works between Fort Augustus and Invermoriston

Published: Thursday, 4 October 2018

Starting on Monday 10th December, Scottish Water will be working along the length of the Great Glen Way Low Route between Fort Augustus and Invermoriston.

Currently there is no access for route users between Fort Augustus and Alt na Criche. A minibus service is in place running every 30 minutes from 8.30 am - 4.30 pm from Bunoich Brae car park (Not the large car park in the centre of the village. Keep walking up the steep hill, past the village hall. The car park is on your left between the road and the children's play park.) This service will be in place for 4-5 weeks from 4th February.

Works will be continuing throughout the winter until early spring and will require the GGW to be diverted onto the High Route only. Alternative routes will be in place for the GGW sections around Fort Augustus. Please follow all instructions and signage for your own safety.

If you have any questions about the works please contact the Route Officers on 01320 366633 or by email: greatglenway@highland.gov.uk
