Inverness can be reached by bus from Glasgow and Edinburgh and by train from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.
Fort William can be reached by bus and train from Glasgow.
There is no direct train link between Inverness and Fort William, but a bus service does run between the two covering all the villages in the Great Glen.
