Am Mòd Nàiseanta Rìoghail | Royal National Mòd

Tha Comhairle na Gàidhealtachd a’ cur taic ris a’ Mhòd Nàiseanta Rìoghail a tha An Comunn Gàidhealach a’ cur air dòigh air-loidhne am-bliadhna. Bha am Mòd gu bhith air a chumail ann an Inbhir Nis bhon 9 chun an 17 dhen Dàmhair, ach chan eil sin comasach air sgàth galar Covid-19.

The Highland Council supports the Royal National Mòd which An Comunn Gàidhealach is hosting online as a Virtual Mòd this year. The Mòd was due to be held in Inverness from 9 to 17 October, but fell victim to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

This year’s Mòd is a bit different to what we are used to, participants were invited to record performances in the comfort of their own homes.

The official 2020 Virtual Mòd online, which draws to a close on Friday 16 October, has been a huge success with many entries submitted online from across the globe.

However, before we all log off, the Highland Council and Feis Ròis are inviting you to join them in one final fling, Cèilidh na Comhairle (Council Cèilidh/Concert) on Friday 16 at 9pm. Cèilidh na Comhairle showcases and celebrates the wealth of Gaelic culture which exists in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

Wherever you are, sit back, relax and enjoy Gaelic song and traditional music from across the Highlands. We hope to see you all next Autumn in person in Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands, from the 8-16 October. A huge Highland welcome awaits you!
