Temporary changes to parking services

26 June 2020 - Following the suspention of enforcement activity during the extended lockdown period we now advise that all On-Street enforcement activity has recomenced from Friday 26 June 2020. This includes all waiting and loading restrictions (yellow lines), On-Street bays such as Disabled, Taxis, Bus, Loading etc

Pay and Display Parking

All On-Street and Off-Street Pay and Display enforcement has resumed.

Permit Parking Renewals

If you made arrangements with us during the Lockdown period these have now come to an end since Sunday 1 November 2020. You must now use the Online Permit system to apply for a new Zonal permit.

Due to limitations on back-office staff availability you will not be able to contact us by telephone. 

You can still use our online services found to pay or challenge a PCN. If you have received a PCN you should use our online service.

Contract Parking

All contract parking payments including direct debits have resumed. 

When we returned to business as usual

  • Phase 1 - From Friday 26 June

    • Enforcement of On-Street waiting and loading (yellow lines), On Street Disabled, Loading, Taxi and Bus Bays and other regulatory restrictions 

    • Re-introduction of On-Street Pay and Display and enforcement to allow customers to access shops and services.

  • Phase 2 - Before Thursday 3 July

    • Open all closed rural Car Parks.
  • Phase 3 - Monday 13 July 

    • Reintroduced all Off-Street Parking Charges at all Off-Street Car Parks including Multi Storey Car Park (MSCP)

  • Phase 4 - August onwards

    • All contract parking and permit parking charges re-introduced

    • 14 September 2020 - New web based permit application scheme activated for Zonal Permit System
