National guidance on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

We are following national guidance regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and we are working closely with Public Health and other partners in the Highlands and Islands Local Resilience Partnership.

The Scottish Government has published updated Covid 19 advice to provide further detail on the principles we should ALL follow to help us keep each other safe now that Highland and Scotland as a whole has exited level 0 (Monday 9 August 2021). We would encourage everyone to read the Scot Gov guidance and follow the relevant advice to keep each other safe.

The Scottish Government has also published updated Covid 19 guidance for the Events sector. The purpose of this guidance is to set out how event planners (including fundraisers) and venue operators may seek approval, and advice if required, from Local Authorities for staging events which exceed the capacity limits in the published guidance on how to stay safe and protect others. Should event organisers require further advice then they should contact our Environmental Health team on envhealth@highland.gov.uk

You can find the latest advice on the Routemap out of Lockdown on the Scottish Government website.
