More time for groups in Kyle to apply for funding

MapIn light of the growing interest in the “Let’s Decide” Kyle Participatory Budgeting event The Highland Council is pleased to announce that the deadline for applications has been extended. The new deadline for applications is 5pm on Thursday 22 February.

If you have an idea that will improve the Kyle Community Council Area and need £200 to £2,000 to put it into action, then “Let’s Decide” is the opportunity to get the funding you need.  Kyle of Lochalsh based groups are urged to come forwards with ideas and projects they wish to see funded.

In total £10,000 is available for grants up to £2,000!  Any local community, voluntary or non-profit group can apply; projects can be large or small and the only criteria are that projects be based in the Kyle Community Council area and will be of benefit to residents.

The community will get to vote for the best ideas at an event to be held on Saturday 17 March 2018 in Kyle.  The event is open to all, and individuals who would like to help decide are invited to come along and vote for their favourite projects.  Those in attendance vote on all the applications and decisions are made on the day.

Application forms can be downloaded from The Highland Council Website at:
