Road condition and gritting treatment reports by The Highland Council’s, Transport, Environmental and Community Services for the morning of Friday 22 February 2013 are as follows:

Caithness and North Sutherland
A frosty start this morning with white frost and icy patches mainly in Caithness and North Sutherland All priority routes treated as necessary. Turning milder with light drizzle and snow flurries later. No known problems. Posted: 22/02/2013 12:09

Skye and Lochalsh
All priority 1 to 3 routes treated with a light application of salt this morning. No reported problems on all routes. Posted: 22/02/2013 11:11

Ross and Cromarty
Mainly dry routes, some icy patches due to seepage, priority routes treated by need. Posted: 22/02/2013 10:05

Inverness, Badenoch and Strathspey 
Roads dry / damp. Adequate salt levels. No treatment proposed or actioned.
