Road condition and gritting treatment reports by The Highland Council’s, Transport, Environmental and Community Services for the morning of Friday 25 January 2013 are as follows:

Lochaber, Caithness and North Sutherland

Mid and West Ross 
Road temperatures generally above zero, with rain in west. The exception to this was the Bealach na Ba where there was up to 1 inch of snow higher up which was drifting in the wind. All routes being patrolled by priority. Posted: 25/01/2013 08:22

Sutherland and East Ross
Sleet and rain showers. No issues reported. All routes patrolled and treated as necessary by priority, available resources and policy. Posted: 25/01/2013 08:08

Skye and Lochalsh
Road surface temperatures above zero with rain falling. Possibility of some snow settling this afternoon on high ground in the Lochalsh area. Posted: 25/01/2013 07:14

No problems reported, roads damp and clear no gritting required.
