Review of proposal to discontinue provision of education at Inverasdale Primary School

Tomorrow (20 October) The Highland Council will publish a Final Consultation Report into its proposal to discontinue the provision of education at Inverasdale Primary School (currently mothballed), reassigning its catchment area to that of Poolewe Primary.

The original consultation on the proposal ran from 27 May to 21 August 2015 and attracted a wide range of responses from parents, pupils, residents and other interested parties.

The Final Consultation Report is due to be submitted to the Council’s Education, Children and Adult Services Committee on 11 November 2015.

Between 20 October and 10 November 2015, members of the public are invited to provide comments which will be tabled at the Education, Children and Adult Services Committee meeting. This will allow Elected Members to take into account any further representations in relation to the recommendations contained within the Consultation Report before agreeing a decision.

The Final Report and associated papers will be published live on the Council’s website on 20 October 2015 at:
