The Lochaber Community Planning Partnership hits the road to get the public’s view

Community Councils, Community organisations and members of the public are encouraged to pop along to Ballachulish Village Hall on Tuesday 24th May anytime from 4pm - 6.30pm for a ‘market place’ event being held by the Lochaber Area Community Planning Partnership.

This is an opportunity to find out about the Lochaber Community Planning Partnerships development priorities for Lochaber and for you to voice your views to help with prioritising area needs in the future.  A range of the community planning partners (agencies and organisations) will also be there for you to chat to them so you can find out about the work they are doing in your area and the services they offer.  Partners in attendance will include;

  • Voluntary Action Lochaber
  • Business Gateway
  • Highland Council – employability services, children’s services (pre-school, childcare, family support) & waste services
  • Skills Development Scotland
  • NHS Highland
  • Department of Work & Pensions
  • Police Scotland
  • High Life Highland
  • West Highland College UHI
  • Scottish Fire & Rescue Service

At 6.00pm there will be a ½ hour discussion on the feedback received from the recent ‘micro community consultation’ work that has taken place in South Lochaber over the past few months.

This is one of two ‘road show’ meetings the Community planning partnership will be holding in Lochaber this year.  The next one is scheduled for the Mallaig area in November.
