Stuart Black congratulated on achievement of Outstanding Business Ambassador Award

The Highland Council is proud to have their Director of Development and Infrastructure, Stuart Black, chosen to receive the SCDI Heathrow Airport Award for Outstanding Business Ambassador.

Chief Executive of The Highland Council, Steve Barron congratulated Stuart on his achievement saying: “I am absolutely delighted for Stuart and the Business Ambassador award is very well deserved. Stuart’s work is a shining example of what can be achieved with a positive attitude, infectious enthusiasm and exemplary leadership in the public sector. Stuart is responsible for driving forward many of the major infrastructure projects in the Highlands which have brought significant improvements and will leave a lasting legacy to the Highlands. His instrumental role in bringing in the City-Region Deal is the most recent and perhaps his greatest achievement to date. I cannot speak highly enough of him.”

Leader of the Highland Council, Margaret Davidson attended the SCDI dinner and award ceremony. She added: “The Highlands could not have a better Business Ambassador than Stuart Black. He has shown outstanding dedication and a real passion for promoting business growth and economic development across the region.  Stuart has played a key role in renewing the Heathrow link and developing our connectivity which is fundamental to a thriving economy. We are extremely lucky to have such a talented and committed individual working for The Highland Council and helping us to make our ambitions a reality.  Well done Stuart!”
