Statement: Highland Council ICT restored

A planned change to the Council's network last Thursday night (29 June) failed. Several services were restored on Friday morning and all services were back on line by 3.30pm.

Services were completely restored and tested to ensure it was all functioning normally.  High Life Highland Library and leisure centre IT systems were monitored and working over the weekend.  The web site functioned as normal. Over 600 people made successful online Council Tax Payments over last weekend as would be expected.

A full technical review will be undertaken with the Council's ICT partner and the manufacturer of the network hardware that had the problem, to determine the root cause of the problem and the appropriate steps to avoid a reoccurrence.
