Back to school delay for Cauldeen Primary

The Highland Council regretfully confirms that Cauldeen Primary School in Inverness will open on Wednesday 16 August, one day later than planned.

While this significant £4m project is programmed to complete at the end of this year, the phased classroom refurbishment works to the early years block that had been due to complete over the summer holiday period have unfortunately over-run.

The Council would like to apologise to both pupils and parents for the  delay in re-opening, however the contractor is working closely with the Council to reduce the delay.

As an interim measure temporary modular units have now been installed on site and will be used for the Primary 1 intake for a period of approximately 4 weeks.  School teaching staff are returning next Monday in order to get school resources and equipment ready for the Wednesday opening.

Parents and carers of Cauldeen Primary pupils who have any queries about the delayed re-opening of the school should contact the Area Care and Learning Office on 01463 702806 or email address carelearningadmin@highland.gcsx.gov.uk
